Message from Virginia on GivingTuesday

Dear Croquet Friends,

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

This year we ask that you consider a donation to help promote croquet. Please consider helping the Croquet Foundation of Virginia Inc. promote croquet in Virginia with a tax deductible donation. Your kind donation will be used to help build new facilities and promote the growth of croquet in Virginia.

The Croquet Foundation of Virginia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and charitable organization organized to promote and develop the sport of Croquet in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the development of clubs, facilities and croquet programs and activities that benefit the individual and society.

A gift can be earmarked for a specific use, club or project, if you choose. Currently we are gathering funds needed to purchase tournament grade wickets for use at the National and Regional tournaments held in Virginia. We need eight sets and they will cost us about $5000. Once they are purchased they will be available for any club in Virginia that is hosting a USCA titled event. We are also looking to target one of our large metropolitan areas like, Richmond, Newport News, Northern Va or Charlottesville and help that area build a new court and start a new club.

Donations can be mailed to CFV, 1834 Twiggs Ferry Rd., Hartfield, VA 23071.

For more information please respond to this email.

Thank you, and on behalf of the CFV Board of Directors, we wish you a Happy Holiday Season and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year!

Macey White
Chairman, Croquet Foundation of Virginia, Inc.
